How to get to Top of the Rock

Top of the Rock sits at Rockefeller Center between Fifth and Sixth Avenue, Midtown Manhattan. It’s an easy walk from Times Square and Central Park, with multiple subway lines just a few blocks away.

By Train

If you arrive by regional rail, head from Grand Central Terminal (4/5/6/7/S) or Penn Station (A/C/E/1/2/3) to Midtown. The B/D/F/M stop at 47–50 St Rockefeller Center and N/Q/R/W at 49 St place you a short walk from the entrance.

By Car

Driving in Midtown is possible but not necessary. Nearby garages serve Rockefeller Center; allow extra time for traffic. Rideshare or taxi drop‑offs are easiest along W 49th or W 50th Street.

By Bus

MTA buses run frequently along Fifth and Sixth Avenue. Look for routes that stop near 50th Street and walk to 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
